MEETINGS

MCAA committee meetings will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Monday, February 21. Consult the Conference program in this issue for room assignments. The meetings are open to all active MCAA members who are urged to attend and provide their input.

MCAA Regional Vice Presidents conferences will begin at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, February 21, followed by the MCAA Executive Board meeting at 3:00 p.m. These conferences are open to all active MCAA members who are urged to attend. Consult the Conference program in this issue for room assignments.

An Industry Promotion meeting will be conducted Sunday, February 20, at 2:00 p.m. The meeting will be devoted to discussions of current promotional programs being conducted by the International Masonry Institute and the various regional/local masonry promotion groups throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The Opening Session of the Conference will convene on Tuesday morning, February 22, at 9:30 a.m. in the Presidio Room of the Convention Center with President Donald O. Leonard presiding.

The MCAA Executive Board will meet twice-on Monday, February 21, at 3:00 p.m. and on Thursday, February 24, at 2:00p.m. in the Helix/Del Mar Room of the Convention Center.

ANNUAL MEETING
To be held Thursday morning, February 24, at 11 a.m. in the Golden West Room of the Convention Center. This meeting is open to MCAA members only. Badges must be worn for admittance.

MCAA EDUCATIONAL TRADE SHOW
The '83 MCAA Educational Trade Show will run for three days, from Tuesday, February 22, to Thursday, February 24, in the Town & Country Room of the Convention Center. Some of the larger equipment will be displayed outdoors in the parking area adjacent to the Mission Ballroom. (See "Masonry Industry Showcase" below.)

TRADE SHOW HOURS

MASONRY INDUSTRY SHOWCASE
To be held on Wednesday, February 23, in the North Parking Lot adjacent to the Mission Ballroom. This extremely popular program will consist of live demonstrations of the newest material handling equipment by the nation's leading manufacturers. Presented by the MCAA Material Handling and Safety Committees. Moderators: Tony Luczynski, Chairman, Material Handling Committee, and Don Grant, Chairman, Safety Committee.

PRESIDENT'S RECEPTION
This social gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 22, at 11 a.m. All MCAA members and their ladies are invited. The reception will be followed at 12:00 noon by a ribbon-cutting ceremony officially opening the '83 MCAA Trade Show in the Convention Center.

MCAA BREAKFAST & BUFFET LUNCHEON
Two special meals for MCAA members-a Breakfast and a Buffet Luncheon-will be served in the Trade Show Exhibit Hall. The Luncheon is on Wednesday, February 23, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. The Breakfast is on Thursday, February 24, from 8:00 to 10:00 am. Tickets are in your Conference registration packet, or you may purchase them separately at the MCAA Registration Desk.

MEXICAN FIESTA
On Wednesday evening, February 23, MCAA members and their ladies can attend a lively "Mexican Fiesta" to be held in the Presidio Room. Be sure to keep this evening open for a fun-filled time. Tickets are in your Conference registration packet, or you may purchase them separately at the MCAA Registration Desk.

LADIES ACTIVITIES
A special program is planned for all MCAA ladies. A ladies headquarters will be set up in the hotel to serve as a gathering point and information center concerning ladies events.

WHAT TO WEAR IN SAN DIEGO
The forecast is for mild, pleasant weather to be prevalent in San Diego in February. Meteorologists recently voted San Diego as the "only area in the United States with a perfect climate." The average annual temperature is 70°F., and generally warm and sunny, with low humidity the year around.
