Doubles his net profit with MORGEN Scaffolding
Bob Kahler Masonry Co., Norfolk, Nebr., won five different bids he had made, figuring on using tubular scaffolding. But he tried Morgen Scaffolding on the first job and found eight masons turned in the work he expected to get from ten. So he bought more Morgen Scaffolding for a shopping center that involved 400,000 brick and 450,000 Saxon brick. He not only got a 25% increase in masons' production but speeded up the whole job so it was completed ahead of schedule.
Kahler found additional savings in moving the scaffolding. In 2½ hours two men and a fork lift operator moved 21 towers and stocked the scaffold with all the material for ten foot walls. Kahler says he would have spent three times as much time moving the same amount of frame scaffolding with four men. Kahler made six purchases of Morgen scaffolding within one year. He figures each purchase paid for itself in six months. He completed the five contracts with twice as much net profit as he had estimated in his bidding. Now he's spoiled. "I know if I had to go back to using frame scaffolding, I'd just quit. You work your tail off and you don't make any money."
