Hyde Acquires Exact Tool

"Excellence In Masonry" Program Scheduled
Registration forms for "Excellence In Masonry '83," sponsored by the Illinois Indiana Masonry Council, have been sent to all architects in the Chicago and northwest Indiana areas.
Registered architects and accredited mason contractors may enter projects in the awards competition. Declaration of intent to submit must be received at the Council's office by October 15, and submission of materials by November 1. There is no entry fee. The Awards Banquet will be held at The Hamilton Hotel, Itasca, III., March 31, 1984.

Americans Invited to Interbuild '83 in UK
Interbuild '83 in Birmingham, England, November 27-December 3, will present a unique opportunity for Americans to see, compare and buy the newest products, equipment and services for building and construction on an international scale.
Nearly 2,000 companies from 34 countries will exhibit in more than 1 million sq. ft. of space in Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre. A special feature will be the "Design In Building" section showing the complete spectrum of building and construction materials.

Glen-Gery Set to Open Brickwork Design Centers
Glen-Gery Corp., Reading. Pa., announced it has scheduled openings of its new Brickwork Design Centers in major U.S. cities in 1983 and 1984. The concept is based on a similar network of Design Centers in the United Kingdom by Glen-Gery's parent firm, Ibstock Johnsen. The facilities provide practical advice and guidance to architects and other users and specifiers to overcome both common and unusual structural problems.
In addition to permanent displays of Glen-Gery's hundreds of brick sizes, shapes and colors, constantly changing special exhibits will rotate throughout the network of centers.
The first Glen-Gery Brickwork Design Center opened in Baltimore in August of this year.
