Meet MCAA's New...
VICE PRESIDENT
GERALD L. DUFOUR
Jerry Dufour is president of Ma-Con Construction Corp., headquartered in the Milwaukee suburb of Germantown, Wis. His firm specializes in masonry, concrete and carpentry in the commercial, industrial and institutional fields. He also is president of Gencon Corp., a general contracting and engineering firm.
Jerry earned a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1953. Following graduation he served two years with the Army Corps of Engineers. After military service he worked as a field engineer, estimator and general manager for various general contracting firms prior to co-founding Ma-Con Construction Corp. in 1963.
Prior to his election as vice president of MCAA, he was secretary and a regional vice president of the Association, served as chairman of its Safety Committee, was a member of the Finance Committee, and presently serves on the Material Handling Committee. He also is a trustee of the International Masonry Institute.
In 1977 he was honored as MCAA's Outstanding Committee Chairman of the Year in recognition of his work with the Material Handling Committee. He also is listed in the current edition of Who's Who In The Midwest.
Jerry is active in numerous local industry and civic organizations. He is a past president, secretary and director.
SECRETARY
C. DEWITT BROWN, JR.
Dee Brown is president and board chairman of Dee Brown Masonry, Inc., Dallas, Texas, one of the foremost mason contracting firms in the Southwest. His firm has completed masonry assignments on many major buildings in the Dallas area and was responsible for the intricate masonry work on the widely acclaimed Loews Anatole Hotel in Dallas.
Before being elected secretary of MCAA, Dee served as treasurer for two years and is a past regional vice president, past Texas state chairman, and past president of the MCAA Dallas Chapter. He presently is a member of the Association's Masonry Panel Contractors Committee.
He also was a trustee and vice chairman of the board of the International Masonry Institute and currently is a board member of the IMI Market Development Program.
In masonry industry affairs, Dee is president of the Associated Masonry Contractors of Texas; director of the Texas State Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee for Bricklayers and board chairman of the Bricklayers Health & Welfare Plan of Texas. He was chairman of the Joint Industry Promotion Committee of the Associated Masonry Contractors of Texas, and is a past president of that group.
He is a director of the Dallas Building Trades Joint Promotion & Apprenticeship Training Program for Equal.

TREASURER
ROBERT H. HATCH
Bob Hatch is president and sole owner of Hatch Masonry, Inc., headquartered in South El Monte, Calif. In operation under Bob's guidance for the past 17 years, the company performs the bulk of its work in the industrial, commercial and governmental sector in the greater Los Angeles area.
Prior to starting his own firm, Bob worked in a management capacity with another mason contractor for 13 years, doing a similar scope of work. A registered civil engineer in the state of California, Bob is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in architectural engineering.
Prior to his election as treasurer of MCAA, Bob was a regional vice president and chairman of the Contract Research Committee. He additionally spent several years as a management trustee of the Health & Welfare and Pension Funds for the brickmasons of Los Angeles and Orange Counties in California. He also is a member of the International Masonry Institute's Market Development Program Board and the Advisory Council of the Masonry Research Foundation.
A Navy veteran of World War II, Bob is an instrument-rated airplane pilot and flies a Cessna P210, which he uses in his business operations. He also is an avid photographer and golfer, and enjoys fishing in Mexico.
Bob and his wife Mim have three children-Steven, who lives in Ches.
