'85 MCAA Masonry Conference
Update
March 7-12, Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas, Nevada
The timely subject of Masonry Marketing will occupy a significant portion of MCAA's 35th International Masonry Conference and Educational Trade Show to be held March 7-12, 1985, at the Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas, Nevada.
A day-long seminar based on the recently introduced Masonry Marketing Manual has been scheduled for the second day of the Conference, March 8. The Manual (see inside back cover of this issue) has already gained wide acceptance among the mason contracting fraternity since its introduction last February during the '84 Conference in New Orleans. And interest in it keeps growing.
Basically, the Manual zeroes in on masonry's strongest selling points-the "Five E's" (Esthetics, Economics. Energy, Engineering and Erection) and shows how you can strengthen your sales approach by capitalizing on these time-proven advantages. A panel of qualified speakers will be on hand to expand on these subject areas in a seminar at the Las Vegas Conference. The entire seminar will be geared toward selling masonry more knowledgeably and more aggressively in today's highly competitive marketplace.
An additional seminar and workshops are also planned for March 7 and March 10, interspersed with MCAA committee meetings the morning of March 9, followed by the MCAA Executive Board meeting and President's Reception that afternoon. The MCAA Annual Meeting-to which all active MCAA members are invited-has been scheduled for the final day of the Conference, March 12.
Trade Show & Material Handling Showcase
The MCAA Trade Show will again be a three-day affair, running from March 9 through 11. The popular Material Handling Showcase, which was postponed at the '84 Conference in New Orleans due to the lack of adequate outdoor facilities, will be reinstated in '85 and be held entirely indoors-thanks to the unusually spacious exhibition hall at the Las Vegas Hilton. You'll be able to watch all of the live equipment demonstrations in relaxed, comfortable surroundings, regardless of the weather and without leaving the hotel.
