Target Adds New Electric Power Saw
A new electric-powered "Quickie" masonry saw has been introduced by Target Products Division, Federal-Mogul Corp., Kansas City, Mo.
The compact, hand-held cutting device weighs approximately 27 lbs. and is available in 12-in. and 14-in. blade capacities. The Quickie saw can be used to make quick cuts in masonry, concrete, asphalt, steel and other metals, and can handle a wide variety of jobs in construction and maintenance work. It can be used with high-speed reinforced abrasive blades as well as with Target's revolutionary Dri Disc diamond blades.
CIMA Publishes Booklet on Energy Conservation
Manufacturers in the United States can now identify more than 175 ways to cut their consumption of fuels and process energy by using a new energy audit booklet prepared and published by the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association (CIMA).
The pocket-sized energy guide, Energy Conservation Techniques: A Walk-through Audit Checklist, is designed to help both large and small manufacturers determine potential sources where energy may currently be wasted, lost or inefficiently used in their facilities. The booklet also suggests ways to reduce energy consumption in the delivery of manufactured goods.

The Construction Specifications Institute has released its new catalog of services and publications. The reference lists the technical documents, educational materials and programs CSI offers to its members and the construction industry.
