WANTED BY THE FBI
JOHN HENRY BRENT, an experienced bricklayer and former masonry journeyman, is being sought by the FBI for unlawful flight to avoid confinement for murder. Brent, aged 39, is wanted in connection with escaping from the Wisconsin State Prison on December 13, 1980, where he was serving a life term for the March 2, 1975, murder of a Milwaukee, Wisconsin, man who Brent shot with a sawed-off shotgun during the robbery of a local restaurant.
Born April 13, 1946, in Milwaukee, Brent is described as a 5-foot-6-inch, 130-pound, black male with black hair and brown eyes. He reportedly has the tattoo "J.B. Blue" on his left wrist and scars on his right wrist and the back of his right hand. Brent has used Social Security number 396-42-9577.
Brent was previously convicted of murder, auto theft, burglary, and armed robbery. Anyone with information regarding Brent is requested to take no action other than to contact the nearest FBI office, the number of which can be found on the first page of most telephone directories.
Brent should be considered armed, dangerous, and an escape risk.
