Fred L. Chiarlanza has resigned as executive director of the Employing Bricklayers Association of Delaware Valley, Pa., and the Delaware Valley Masonry Institute to become executive vice president of Anastasi Brothers Corp., Philadelphia, Pa. William J. Carswell/Architect announced he is carrying on the practice established by Carswell and Griesbach at a new address: 448 Ste. Marie St., Collingwood, Ont., telephone (705) 445-9205. Mr. Griesbach recently retired.

National Gypsum Co. also has relocated its headquarters in downtown Dallas to Lincoln Plaza, a new 45-story tower at 500 N. Akard.

Denver Brick Co., Castle Rock, Colo., has announced that Frank Galgano, formerly of Glen-Gery Corp., has joined the 92-year-old firm as general sales manager. Brian Kingsley has joined the staff of the Perlite Institute, Commack, N.Y., as technical representative. The National Concrete Masonry Association has appointed Edwin C. Hedstrom, P.E., director of research, replacing Gary Schoenfeld, who resigned recently. Gene C. Abbate, former owner of Gene Abbate & Son Masonry & Construction Co., Billings, Mont., is the new executive director of the Arizona Masonry Guild.

The American Society of Association Executives has selected P. D. "Bud" Herman, executive v.p. of Associated Equipment Distributors, Oak Brook, III., to receive one of five 1985 Key Awards, the highest honor bestowed by ASAE. Arthur Monsey and Louis Schwartz have formed Arlou Inc., a construction/engineering advisory firm based in St. Louis. Monsey organized and directs Washington University's Construction Management Center. Schwartz was manager of construction in operations for Sverdrup Corp.'s SPCM and served as project manager for McCarthy Brothers Construction Co.

Donald A. Lopez, formerly executive director of the Masonry Institute of Maryland, has been named v.p. sales & marketing for Balcon, Inc., Baltimore, Md., producer of customized concrete masonry units. Robert A. Kibitt has joined Access Engineering USA, Inc., Charlotte, N.C., as district sales manager for the states of Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska. He is located at 1270-B Bellevue Way, N.E., Bellevue, Wash. Access Engineering manufactures the revolutionary "Satellite" elevating work platform.

Frank J. Soave, a veteran mason contractor based in Troy, Mich., has joined the sales & marketing staff of Borin Builders Supply, Warren, Mich.
