# In Memoriam
Editor:
I want to inform you of the death of J. William Conner. Bill passed away July 15, 1985 at age 57. At the time of his death, he was general manager of Robert Lear & Sons.

Bill was one of the staunchest supporters of the Mason Contractors Association. He had been a trustee of Kentuckiana Masonry Institute since its very beginning. He was also a past-president of the Mason Contractors Association of Louisville.

Bill will be greatly missed by the masonry industry in the Louisville area.

# Cranes in Construction
Editor:
May I kindly take this opportunity to introduce our magazine Cranes Today to you and your Association. We are a journal specializing in the worldwide coverage of the crane industry, and have been established some 13 years.

Our principal aim is to provide impartial and objective comment on the progress of the crane industry on a global basis. We field an editorial team which travels to wherever the centre of interest is located at the time, publish information received from a network of international contacts, and operate a newsdesk to give up-to-the-minute news of events in the crane industry.

In the course of our editorial research your Association has come to our attention. We would therefore be delighted to receive information concerning your Association and its activities. If you could outline how cranes and construction equipment in general relate to your own area of interest, so much the better.

We are always interested in receiving crane-related news, especially on an exclusive basis, and would be pleased to consider coverage of the work of your Association in this regard.

We very much look forward to hearing from you, and thank you for any help you may be able to give in the pursuit of our enquiry.
