Obituaries

William E. LeFeber

William E. LeFeber, executive director of the Masonry Institute of Indiana for the past 10 years, died unexpectedly on May 27, 1986 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, Ind.

Mr. LeFeber also was executive director of the Indiana Concrete Masonry Association and secretary/treasurer of the Indiana Mason Contractors Association. With MCAA, he was a member of the Masonry Systems Marketing Committee and was on the planning team that produced the Masonry Marketing Manual.

Mr. LeFeber was a member of the Brick Institute of America, the National Concrete Masonry Association, the Concrete Specifications Institute, the Masonry Society, the Indiana Department of Fire Prevention and Building Safety, and was secretary of Committee C-15 of the American Society for Testing and Materials.

A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Mr. Lefeber attended Purdue University and had been an architect. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Small LeFeber; daughters Kathryn Harriman and Debra S. LeFeber; a son, William L. Lefeber; his mother, Mary Shelton; sisters Martha Dela Torria, Vanetta Edwards and Jenney M. Trees, and four grandchildren.
