FOR A GRAND OLE TIME
continued from page 7
This year we will be holding Stone Paneis II, a presentation by the Masonry Systems Marketing Committee, with the theme "Making Money Marketing Masonry," and we are bringing back the ever popular "Masonry Estimating for a Profit." The first session of the Conference will be held on Thursday morning and immediately following that, the MCAA show will officially open in the exhibit hall. Friday will be the second session with, again, the show being held in the afternoon hours. Saturday morning will feature the conclusion of the MCAA show and the MCAA Annual Meeting. The concluding event will be the annual banquet and installation of officers. We will then recess to the Grand Ole Opry, which is adjacent to the Opryland Hotel.
The Opryland Hotel has been distinguished by receipt of industry awards that include the prestigious Mobil Four Star Award and the AAA Four Diamond Award, and the Gold Key Award from Meetings and Conventions Magazine. The fifty million dollar expansion to the hotel that was completed in 1983 added a one acre skylight, one of the largest glass roofs in the world that connects two six story wings of guest rooms. Designed by a team of architectural experts who visited conservatories in England, Scotland, Italy and Canada, the conservatory carries a 19th century tradition. The conservatory features more than 10,000 plants, representing 216 species. Because the roof in places is 110 feet above the garden floor, there are towering palms and banana trees, as well as smaller plants.
The 1988 Pre-Conference Seminar Registration form appears on page 9 with the Official Conference Registration form on page 10. Opryland Hotel room reservation forms will be available shortly and will be mailed to all MCAA Members.
