The new Gradall 532 Material Handler incorporates 8,000 lbs. capacity, 30-foot lift height and 90-degree pivot steering in a two-wheel drive machine designed for maximum economy. Especially suitable for use on construction sites in such applications as loading and unloading materials, masonry construction and truss bundle moving, the Model 532 has the power and design characteristics to enable it to operate on rough terrain and in tight quarters. Powered by a Perkins diesel, the vehicle's ground clearance provides it with the ability to climb steep slopes and travel over obstructions. The 90-degree rear pivot steering facilitates an outside turning radius that's less than the length of the machine. With its two-section boom and Quick-Switch coupler, the operator can change to a variety of attachments within minutes and without assistance. Available attachments include tilt carriage forks, truss boom, light material bucket and instant hook. With its one piece weldment main frame, planetary drive axle and heavy-duty boom sections, the Model 532 is built for reliability, easy maintenance and economical operation. Equipped with the many attachments available, the machine also offers optimum versatility. A universal problem for Lift Truck operators is vision to the sides and rear of the vehicle. A properly installed K-10 EYE-BALL Lift Truck Mirror will minimize the image of the driver while amplifying his view of all of his surroundings. With a K-10 EYEBALL Mirror, the operator has a proportional view of the load in front of him; in addition to seeing everything behind him and to the sides which eliminates the blind spots. The K-10 EYE-BALL Lift Truck Mirrors are offered in the standard 8 inch diameter size and in the new 10 inch diameter for larger in-plant vehicles. Mounting hardware is included to install EYEBALL Mirrors easily and quickly on all types of Lift Trucks or other in-plant conveyances. All K-10 Mirrors are molded of lightweight, high stress plexiglass. They won't fade, discolor or deteriorate and are guaranteed. For more complete information, write K-10 Enterprizes. The 8038 Sky Trak, an 8,000-lb. capacity rough terrain forklift with maximum reach of 37% feet, has been introduced by Koehring Construction Equipment, Port Washington, Wisconsin. With its tight turning radius, multiple steering modes, 23-% ft. forward reach, and outstanding traction capabilities, the 8038 has the proven features of Koehring's Sky Trak model 9038. The 8038 is competitively priced to compete with rough terrain forklifts in the 8,000-lb. class. The 8038 is highly maneuverable. In addition to its tight turning radius of 13 feet 3 inches, the 8038 has three steering modes: 2-wheel. 4-wheel, and crab, so that the operator can move the machine into the best possible position to pick and place loads loads. With 2.000-lb. capacity at full forward reach of 23 feet 6 inches, the operator can place pallets with pinpoint accuracy. Below grade, reach is 4 feet, allowing the operator to precisely position loads below ground level. And the 8038 has tremendous traction. Naturally aspirated or turbo-charged diesel engines drive planetary axles through a 3-speed powershift transmission. Both axles drive and both steer so the operator can move through toughest terrain to deliver the payload to its target on any job.
