Mixing lime with Portland-cement based mortar or stucco can often be difficult and unsafe work. American Colloid Company's Easy-Spred mortar plasticizer is an effective alternative to using lime in mortar. Non-toxic Easy-Spred mixes readily with Portland-cement and sand to produce a mortar that's exceptionally safe and workable. When working with lime, which is packaged in bulky 50-pound bags, the mortar plasticizer must wear heavy and uncomfortable protective gear to prevent the eyes and skin from being irritated or burned by the toxic product. Mortar or stucco made with Easy-Spred will stay in the box for several hours without needing additional tempering. In stucco mixes, Easy-Spred adheres well to dry surfaces, often eliminating the need for priming, and there is very little shrinkage after Easy-Spred is applied. The latest strapping tool from A. J. Gerrard eliminates the need and expense of banding seals on " to high-tensile strap while still fitting 4". New internal parts make it the only sealless tool available for these narrow sizes of high-tensile strapping. Light and easy to handle, the new manual SealSaver 2306HT improves workflow and is ideal for both vertical and horizontal applications. With this one tool, a worker can easily thread, tension, seal and cut in one hand operation faster than conventional hand tools. Efficiency of the joint made by an interlocking die is at least 80% of the strap break strength, which is greater than the standard seal-type method. And by not having to purchase and inventory seals, the average user will realize up to 10% savings. For more information on the 2306HT or Gerrard's full line of strapping equipment, please contact Tom Driscoll, Marketing Manager. A. J. Gerrard & Co., 400 E. Originally developed for the Masonry Industry. Tuboo's cubic and cubic yard tubs have many other applications. They are ideal for the handling of bulk materials and other products that are handled, transported or stored. The tubs are rotational molded from a high-impact polyethylene resin, that provides a solid, lightweight, but durable one-piece unit that is virtually indestructible. The tubs are temperature resistant from 40°F. to 140°F. with a U.V. Stabilizer that assures a long lasting product that doesn't rust, corrode, or dent. They are also easy to clean. The tubs conserve space when not in use by being nestable. Jamming and sticking together are eliminated when unstacking, due to the built-in nesting lugs. They are forkliftable from the bottom, providing safe handling of the maximum load. For more information, contact Tubco Sales, P.O. Box 18629, Ft. Worth, Texas 76118-(817) 284-9773.
