Expo '92
Attendees at MCAA Conference and Masonry Expo in Orlando, February 6-11, bullish on masonry construction outlook. Exhibitors and buyers judge event to be a real success.
THE MASON Contractors Association of America's Annual Conference and Masonry Expo '92, held at the Peabody Hotel and the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando. Florida, February 6-11, 1992, was an unqualified success. Some 4,000 mason contractors and other industry members viewed the products and services displayed by more than two-hundred exhibitors, attended conferences, workshops and seminars and enjoyed the leisure time amenities of America's favorite resort city.
The Expo was held in conjunction with the annual MCAA conference and the annual conventions of the National Concrete Masonry Association and the Masonry Society. Expo sponsors are: MCAA. National Concrete Masonry Association, Brick Industry of America, National Association of Brick Distributors, Expanded Shale/Clay and Slate Institute, National Lime Association, Portland Cement Association and the Masonry Society. Various other industry groups also held meetings in conjunction with the event.
Members and other industry attendees came from throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, Europe and Asia. Despite the slowed construction economy, those in attendance were optimistic about the short and long-term future, citing recent economic upturns and building activity. Mood of exhibitors and attendees alike was
