More than sixty industry members and guests attended the All-Industry Golf Tournament at the premier championship Osprey Ridge Golf Course at the Walt Disney World Resort. A welcoming reception for MCAA spouses, held Thursday afternoon, featured an Orlando orientation program, with descriptions of the area's attractions.



The two seminars conducted on Friday, February 7, were "What Your Customer Sees" and "Glass Block." The second part of "Estimating for a Profit" was also conducted.

The "What Your Customer Sees" seminar, conducted by Dr. Janet Sanders, from the St. Louis based Clayton Consulting group covered the image that the mason's firm projects to its customers through brochures, logos, truck signage and other promotional methods. "The image you project," stressed Sanders, "directly affects your next job."

The "Glass Block" seminar featured topics such as manufacturing of glass



block, promotion of the product to the homebuilder and architect, suggested production techniques, installation specifications and trouble shooting. Representatives from Pittsburgh Corning and glass block distributors covered the various seminar topics.
