Power to Prosper Seminars
Slated for Masonry Expo
Seminars designed to help masonry construction firms stay competitive in tough times slated for MCAA Annual Conference and Masonry Expo '93.
A series of educational seminars designed to help give companies in the masonry construction industry the "power to prosper" has been slated for MCAA's Annual Conference and Masonry Expo '93 in San Diego, California, February 25 through March 2, 1993.
The show, the nation's most comprehensive exhibit of masonry products, equipment, systems and services, will take place at the San Diego Convention Center. More than 250 firms will exhibit to more than 5,000 industry leaders, representing the entire masonry construction industry. Last year, sixty percent of those attending were company presidents or owners.
"There's no denying the fact that times are tough," declared George Miller, MCAA's executive vice president. "But the industry is fighting back. To compete, companies must stay abreast of the latest in technology, equipment, and new market opportunities. The Conference and Expo seminar programs are designed to help meet that need."
Some of the key subjects the seminars will cover are: Estimating for A Profit, People Management in Construction, Time Management, Marketing Quality, the Role of Mortar In Masonry Construction, Selling Masonry As A System in A Competitive Marketplace, Constructing Masonry Under the 530 Code and Specifications, and Trouble Shooting Masonry Problems and Solutions.
The most comprehensive national conference and exposition for the masonry construction industry, the exposition brings together concrete block/paver producers, mason contractors, engineers, architects, builders, plant operators, educators, brick manufacturers, distributors and other industry leaders.
The exposition will also include the annual conventions of the Mason Contractors Association of America, the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association, the National Concrete Masonry Association and the Masonry Society.
