WHEN YOU GO ON THE SOLITE WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM YOU'LL GAIN PRODUCTIVITY AND COST SAVINGS AT EQUIVALENT R VALUE.
This is one of those rare times when less gets you more. An 8" 100% Solite lightweight aggregate concrete masonry unit weighs less than 26 lbs. An identical heavyweight unit is as much as 50% heavier. That's why you'll get greater productivity with Solite. The lighter weight units allow masons to lay more block per day, finish projects faster and for less labor cost.
Additionally, Solite lightweight aggregate has more R value built in due to trapped air cells which occur as the raw material is fired in a rotary kiln at 2300° F. That means it takes a heavyweight block containing vermiculite core insulation to get the equivalent R value of a 100% Solite lightweight aggregate unit with no insulation. Plus, the cost of the Solite unit is less than a heavyweight with the core insulation added. Combine this saving with your masons' increased productivity and you'll find you can no longer afford to use heavyweight.
Ask your block producer for 100% Solite lightweight aggregate masonry units. On a weight loss program by any other name, you could lose.
