DETERMINE YOUR LEVEL OF USE, AND THEN SELECT A BRAND WHICH FITS YOUR NEEDS.

Parts and labor are your cost after warranty. Although replacement parts are often not expensive, they are also not always available. You may have to spend money "upgrading" just because your model is "obsolete," a term often applied to systems where replacement parts are just not available. Transportation of the system back and forth from the repair shop adds additional cost. Type "C" should cost the least up front, but will require more effort to have it repaired. If you do not have a daily need for your computer, or have your own spares... this is the most economical way to go.

Best value for companies with only occasional business use and/or recreational use of the computer. Often requires some luck and persistence on your part. Generally only suitable for business applications when you have your own spares. Network Work Stations where you have 7 or 5 people and home entertainment machines are examples.

Conclusion: Determine your level of use, cost of "down-time," and willingness to participate in the maintenance. Then select a "brand" which fits the needs. For mason contractors under $3-million annual volume "B" is usually best. For larger contractors with networked applications, the server should be "A" and the work stations "B". For networks of more than five work stations, "C" brands with in-house spares works fine.

STUDENT HOMES BRICK DONATION

AS A CORPORATE partner of the Industry Education Alliance, the educational arm of the National Association of Home Builders. Redland Brick's Cushwa plant will donate approximately 63,000 exterior face brick for use in the construction of student scholarship homes in Myersville, Maryland and Martinsburg, West Virginia. The student built homes will be sold after completion to help offset tuition costs for the "Carpentry: Qualified Framer" and "Masonry: Qualified Bricklayer" programs. The job training programs provide classroom instruction as well as on-the-job training at no cost to students. Most of the students have builders and contractors waiting to hire them when they complete the program.

DUR-O-WAL Seismic Products Take a Load Off...Your Mind.

Seismic products from DUR-O-WAL are designed to toke seismic and high wind loads off your buildings. And your mind.

Their shear lugs hold Pencil Rod or Seismic Ladur "in place for greater pullout resistance and ductility in seismic zones 3 and 4.

Made from structural steel instead of wire, they stand up better to all types of stress. In all applications, DUR-O-WAL seismic products are "user friendly."

Take Seismic Dur-O-Eye™ and Ladur-Eye with the patented steel plate welded right to the reinforcement, eliminating time consuming clips. Positioning tabs align assembly with masonry wall, assuring proper mortar coverage and embedment. Pintle adjusts 1-1/4" up or down and 1/2" horizontal for for different course heights in-plane movement.

For veneer to steel stud or wood stud, or veneer to existing CMU or concrete, DUR-O-WAL recommends its Seismic D/A 213 systems. They include the same plate and pintle features as Seismic Dur-O-Eye and Lodur-Eye.

DUR-O-WAL's Seismic Channel Slot and Dovetail Anchor assemblies are designed to fit standard channel and dovetail slots.

Take a load off your mind. For code-approved ties that stand up to seismic conditions and high winds, contact your DUR-O-WAL representative or call toll-free: 1-800-323-0090.
