CONCRETE MASONRY UNITS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CATCH BASINS AND MANHOLES, ASTM C 139
Specification C 139 covers solid precast segmental concrete masonry units intended for use in the construction of catch basins and manholes. Units are required to be at least 5 inches (127 mm) thick, with an average gross area minimum compressive strength of 2500 psi (17.3 MPa) or 2000 psi (13 MPa) for an individual unit, and a maximum water absorption of 10 pcf (16 kg/m³).
