achieved net growth with six months remaining in our year. We have computerized our membership company profiles and have become active in promoting our member companies' capabilities to masonry customers and general contractors.
MCAA has exhibited in the Home Builders Show and will exhibit at the Associated General Contractors Show in March to promote the use of masonry and MCAA members. The MCAA Convention and Masonry Expo set all time records in Atlanta and this year, the Las Vegas Masonry Expo exceeded the success in Atlanta.
We became even more active in the legislative process and for the first time in MCAA history, we financially supported candidates for federal office. As a result, MCAA now has an effective voice in how our laws and regulations are written and how they will ultimately impact the mason contractor.
I am proud to report that during this time of tremendous turmoil, the state of the Mason Contractors Association of America is active, growing and strong.
MCAA Committees
Our Committees are the backbone of the Mason Contractors Association of America. While other upstart associations promote what they will do for the mason contractor, MCAA committees have exhibited a strong record of accomplishment. While others make promises of what they will do, MCAA has provided services and programs and only ask what more can we do for the mason contractor. We are proud of the accomplishments of our committees.
Education Committee
Chaired by Richard Felice, the Education Committee has had a very active year. The committee has been working with the Marketing Committee in developing a new marketing manual for mason contractors. In addition they have been working with the Training Committee on developing a comprehensive national training program. The Education Committee is also overseeing the development of a foreman and superintendent training program.
Finance Committee
This Committee, chaired by Treasurer Michael Johnston, has done an excellent job of making the transition to a new fiscal year which began on July 1. This committee has also done a very good job of strengthening the Association's budgeting process by
