For the past twenty-six years, he has served on the Joint Apprenticeship Committee, the Laborers Training Fund and on the Regional I.M.I. Apprenticeship Training Committees. He has also been instrumental in implementing masonry promotion through the IMI in Texas. Fenimore also developed the first local masonry promotion slide presentation for the Fort Worth Masonry Association which later became the first state wide effort to promote masonry. Fenimore recently became active nationally when he was elected to Region 'F' Vice President for MCAA where he will lend his expertise in the areas of promotion and training.

C. Dewitt Brown

Dee Brown has had an extensive and varied background in both masonry and civic volunteer activities. Between his active and current involvement, he has served on roughly fifty committees and boards both in and out of the masonry profession. Brown has served as President of MCAA and as Co-Chairman of the International Masonry Institute where his services to the industry have been well documented. Brown has been active for decades in promotion and training with service as Chairman of the Texas State Joint Apprenticeship and Training, and as Director of the Dallas Building Trades Promotion and Apprenticeship Training. After decades of service and unending action for a better masonry industry, Brown continues to work locally to build a better future. Some of his most notable civic involvement includes Chairman of the Board for the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation, Dallas County Advisory Board for the Salvation Army, Director of Goodwill Industries, and Chairman of St. John's Charitable Trust.

Cheri Courtney

Cheri Courtney has spearheaded efforts to attract women into the masonry industry and the entire construction industry where she remains active in training while she serves as Chairman of Education for National Association of Women in Construction. A unique approach was started in recruiting young people with women in construction, where they conduct contests with grade school kids using Lego building blocks. In these contests, grade schoolers compete to build the best project using the Lego's. This projects objective is to get kids excited about construction. Courtney is active building a new masonry association in West Texas. Courtney also volunteers time with AIDS services of Austin.

Mike Sutter's main focus has been to recruit and train young people for the masonry industry. In fact he has taken this interest to new heights with the responsibility of serving as a co-author for the new industry training manuals being published by the MCAA. Sutter has been very active recruiting and training young masons with his service on both the Advisory Board for Metro Tech Vocational School and the Arizona Masonry Contractors Association Apprenticeship Committee, which recently won U.S. Department of Labor approval for their training program. Sutter also serves as the chapters Secretary/Treasurer as well as a member of the MCAA Training Committee.

Shirley Schiesser

Shirley Schiesser has taken her service to the masonry industry to new heights. Schiesser became a city Council Member on the Glenwood Springs City Council where many building and zoning changes have a direct impact on the use of any construction product as well as other issues affecting the economic impact of running a profitable masonry business. Schiesser has continued to remain active supporting the industry while serving as council member. She is an active member of the Workers' Compensation Coalition, and serves on the Contractors Licensing Board. Schiesser has been State Chairman for MCAA, as well as Trustee for the local association. She has also held positions on the chapters Special Presentation Committee, Training and Planning committee.
