MCAA has developed a member referral program. Each member's company profile is entered into the association's data base and referred to potential customers upon request.

Trade Shows
In order to promote our members capabilities and that of the masonry industry, MCAA has exhibited in construction industry trade shows such as the Home Builders annual show and the Associated General Contractors show.

Key Account Selling
We work closely with allied industry associations such as the National Concrete Masonry Association to team sell key masonry users and potential masonry customers.

Masonry Magazine
Masonry Magazine is our bimonthly magazine run by this association. Many of its readers are the architects and specifiers who design with masonry. Our magazine has come a long way over the past two years and we have a long way to go. It continues to get better with every issue.

Excellence In Masonry Competition
Masonry Magazine began the Excellence in Masonry Competition two years ago. It is a national forum to spotlight masonry projects from around the country and the customers who design and build these wonderful projects. The Excellence in Masonry has experienced some growing pains but it has become a resounding success.

Masonry Expo
MCAA is a main sponsor of the Masonry Expo. This national trade show has grown to where it brings people from all corners of the world as attendees and exhibitors. More than 200 exhibitors exhibit their products to the more than 6,000 industry professionals who attend.

Safety Programs
We have a very aggressive safety program. We have developed a number of safety manuals, a forklift safety video, safety trainics for tool box talks and a safety hotline to answer OSHA questions. I believe that our forklift safety and training manual is the only one of its kind that allows for the issuance of a forklift operator's license. Safety must be a primary focus for this association in the future.

Insurance
Our insurance program has just begun its fourth year and is a resounding success. Last year's earned premiums exceeded five million in the liability coverage which exceeded our expectations. Last year we also began a limited workers compensation program in certain parts of the country. We now have a good foundation for this program to flourish in the future.

THE FUTURE
Four years ago we embarked on a long range plan for this association. Under the leadership of our past presidents Richard Felice and Richard Matthews and over the course of the past two years, we have realized the early completion of this long range plan. Many of the goals that we established during my tenure as President have been achieved with remarkable speed. MCAA can now look to the future and will hopefully receive a huge influx of new members joining our efforts and helping to expand our industry. We can expect many new programs and services to be offered by this association in the future. Our goal is to make our member mason contractor the most well trained contractor in the entire construction industry. L.C. Pardue, MCAA Past President
