air balloon. Then come down to earth and jump into a desert jeep for a tour into the heart of the Sonoran landscape. It's all in the valley of the sun.
Sports Haven
The yearly average temperature of 72 degrees and sunshine 86 percent of daylight hours and 300 sunny days makes Phoenix a haven for golfing, hiking, climbing, or horseback riding. Local Phoenix residents cheer the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Cardinal football team. Other notable sporting events take place in the Phoenix area such as the PGA Phoenix Open, and the Sun Devils of Arizona State.
Phoenix will soon make its way into major league baseball when the new Bank One ballpark sets to open in 1998 and will be the house of the Arizona Diamond Backs, a new expansion team to major league baseball.
The valley's year round sunshine and warm temperatures provide the near perfect environment where activities are not often postponed or cancelled due to inclement weather. Golf, tennis, desert jeep tours, hot air ballooning over the Sonoma desert, mountain climbling, two seat glider flights, and a night-life that rarely stops are all waiting for you when you're in Phoenix during the MCAA Conference and MASONRY EXPO.
