Expo Gives Masonry High Profile to Phoenix
When eight associations formed MASONRY EXPO over 8 years ago, the first thought at hand was the concept of a MASONRY EXPO, "an all encompassing Expo". Part of the rational in doing an EXPO was to bring a high profile of Masonry presence to the whole city and region where MASONRY EXPO would be held. This year MASONRY EXPO brought tremendous TV coverage to Phoenix and the Southwest region of Arizona.
Shelley Hansel, a weekend weather forecaster participates in some "hands on" masonry demonstrations.
Four local TV stations and network affiliates covered three days of MASONRY EXPO activities which took place at the Phoenix Civic Plaza. A special interest of EXPO was the Fastest Trowel On The M97 Block Competition. Most notably was an NBC Affiliate Network in Phoenix who sent Shelley Hansel, a weekend weather forecaster to participate in some "hands on" masonry demonstrations. The feedback from many local attendees was the predominate network coverage during the three days of Expo, which was held January 17-19.
