Two cross-frame hydraulic outriggers, each spanning 24 ft 8 in (7.5 m), and a single front stabilizer provide firm support. Anchoring System
ANKR-TITE® Fastening Systems is pleased to introduce the next generation of concrete anchoring systems, POWER-Sert POWER- high performance drop-in anchors are engineered for situations where depth and lateral space are restricted. POWER-Sert™ high performance anchors were specified for seating installation at the new Olympic stadium in Atlanta, primarily because of their shallow embedment, which provides excellent holding while avoiding rebar and "drill-thru. They are also quickly becoming the anchoring system of choice because of their close edge distance and spacing, which minimize the effects of "cone failure." POWER-Sert high performance anchors also feature extremely high holding values, due in part to an epoxy bond which adheres to the anchor body. And they feature instant holding power, thanks to exclusive FRICTION-FIT™ which allows fixtures to be installed immediately while the epoxy cures. For more information call 800 343 1264.
Portable Light
Ingersoll-Rand Company's Portable Compressor Division intorduces its new L5Y and L5K portable light towers. The two new units feature a double-reinforced steel housing that is 70% smaller than current models and equally durable. The heavy-steel tower on the newly designed units is a two-section mast which extends 12 to 22- feet. An optional third section may be added to allow 12 to 30-foot extension capability. The mast is raised by either dual, hand-operated winches or optional electric winches At full-mast extension, and with all five outrigger/jacks secured, the unit can withstand winds up to 65 mph. The towers can be rotated 360 degrees and locked into position for precise aiming of floodlights. For traveling and storage, and to avoid unwanted telescoping, the tower sections automatically lock into place when in the horizontal position.
