PRODUCT UPDATE

# Paddle Mixer
Mixer Systems, Inc. offers a full color bulletin, illustrating and describing product features of its new Eight Cu. Ft. Paddle Mixer designed for concrete product producers. The compact mixer features Mixer's proven "Cross-Current mixing action ideal for difficult dry, semi-dry and low moisture materials. The unique action blends and braids materials in an intense mixing action that consistently produces a thorough, homogenous mix. The Ni-Hard paddles and abrasion resistant drum liners insure long life and are bolted in for easy replacement. Its smaller capacity makes the eight cu. ft. paddle mixer affordable and portable. It features heavy-duty, all welded construction with crane hook and fork lift brackets for easy transport. Bearings are self-aligning and shaft seals protect from contamination and can be replaced in minutes. materials and applications. Mixer provides complete after-sale support and an extensive off-the-shelf parts inventory. To request the new Eight Cu. Ft. # Admixture
Master Builders, Inc. has introduced RHEOMIX-700FC polycarboxylate-based plasticizing admixture for manufactured concrete products, a breakthrough product that is proven to dramatically out-perform traditional, surfactant-based admixtures. This patent-pending product can be used to maximize the efficiency of manufactured concrete products by improving production rates through cycle time reduction and by allowing significant cement reductions without sacrificing early or late age compressive strength. The proprietary, friction-reducing polymers contained in RHEOMIX 700FC admixture improve material flow, response to vibration and extrusion characteristics, helping to maximize the production rate at which dry-cast concrete products can be fabricated. The appearance of concrete products incorporating RHEOMIX 700FC admixture does not differ significantly from that of non-admixture treated products. Several economic benefits, such as reduced cull rate, effective cement reduction, less wear on product forming parts, and decreased overall per-unit costs have been proven using this new product. # Concrete Pump
Morgen Manufacturing announces the new, improved Mustang 25 & 30 Trailer-Mounted Concrete Pumps featuring a newly-designed hydraulic system that delivers increased pressure on the concrete from 750 to 875 PSI. Twin "llow-through" hydraulic cylinders operate the swing valve, providing smooth, shock-free pump cycling. The constant diameter, almost straight-through concrete path of the Mustang 25 and 30 swing valve lets these units effectively pump up to 11/2" hard rock concrete, shotcrete, grout and refractories. In addition, The Mustang's 5" swing valve prevents any buildup or blockages within the pump due to reduction. All reduction takes place outside the pump in less costly pipeline components. The valve geometry minimizes the distance the swing valve must travel to make cycling quicker. The straighter flow of concrete exerts less pressure or thrust on the supporting structure than is found in other valve systems, making it easier to keep the wear plate and floating wear ring in perfect alignment. In addition, the quick, positive shifting and sealing of the swing valve makes Mustang pumps much more efficient than those with ball checks Ball check pumps lose a portion of the material being pumped back into the charging hopper on every stroke as the ball is seating. The Morgen swing valve pumps can be reversed from the control panel or the remote control to relieve line pressure in case of a plug in the line. Ball check pumps cannot be reversed and are limited to 1/2" minus material. For more information, phone Morgen Manufacturing 800-952-4726 or fax at 605-665-7017.

# Masonry Saw
Stone Construction Equipment, Inc. has added a gas engine to the Portable Saw Devil Masonry Saw Line (MS1). The engine, a 5 hp Honda gas, will accept blades to 14". It comes complete with a belt driven water pump, an electric pump is optional. The new engine features a stationary mounting that doesn't tilt with the blade. The model also includes all the standard features found on other Saw Devil Masonry Saws, including two bolt quick release on engine mount, an open back for rip cutting and a stay level polyethylene blade guard with 210° of blade coverage. This gas engine joins two Saw Devil Portable models with 1-1/2 and 2 hp electric motors. Those are standard with electric water pumps. Also now available on the Professional Saw Devil Masonry Block Saw is an 11 hp Honda engine. The larger gas engine joins hwo other gas models and two electric powered models. The 5 power options are available in either 14" or 20" blade capacity versions.
