Education Training & Recruitment
What if there was a wall to build and nobody came? This is the nightmare of every contractor: having jobs to complete and not having the labor force available to do it. The availability of a well-skilled ample work force, according to most mason contractors, is their utmost concern. The MCAA recognized this concern several years ago and started implementing programs to assist contractors in finding and training their future workforce. In addition, the MCAA recognizes the fact that in order to continue to employ the most qualified masons, contractors need to continue the education process of their employees.
The MCAA plans a national career day every year and provides free materials to contractors on how to set-up and conduct their own career day.
MCAA Resource Catalog
The MCAA Resource Catalog has over 50 publications for contractors to help facilitate training, recruitment, business planning, safety programs, human resources and personal enrichment.
Every year, the MCAA publishes the MCAA Resource Catalog. Over fifty publications are available in this catalog for contractors to use to help maintain and grow their business. The MCAA works all year to produce new resources contractors can utilize to maintain the most qualified workforce possible. Twice a year, the MCAA holds meetings that include opportunities for masons around the country to attend workshops relating to the latest trends in the trade.
