# Powder Coating System

In an effort to extend its lead in the manufacture of scaffolding products, CrankUp recently announced that it has installed a state of the art powder coating system. The company's finishing process uses powder coatings provided by Dupont. CrankUp (makers of XL, EZ, NS, MT and MK CrankUp style scaffolding) is now manufacturing all products with the tough polymer/plastic finish only powder coating can provide. Powder coating offers excellent color consistency, chip resistance, and corrosion control, as compared to traditional liquid finishing systems used by most manufacturers. The durable Dupont Powder Coating has a life span of up to 15 years. Currently, CrankUp is the only scaffold company of its kind using powder coating by DuPont. CrankUp Scaffolding manufactures most all adjustable climbing scaffolds offering a scaffold buying/purchasing alternative at unbeatable pricing and quality. # Tie Brick

The Tie Brick the newest innovation in rebar and wire reinforcing supports! Current building codes require rebar and reinforcing wire in concrete foundations be set at a specified height above grade. Until now, wire chairs and standard concrete bricks have been utilized to support the reinforcing steel. The problem is that wire chairs often bend or sink into the soil and standard concrete brick is costly and doesn't provide the most common elevation of three inches. This new product is the solution to flimsy and expensive rebar supports. Sturdy, constructed of virtually indestructible concrete; economical, costs about the same as standard brick and wire chairs, but it works; secures reinforcement mat in place: stands up to the weight of steel reinforcement and workers walking across it; resists sinking in sand and soils: Provides multiple support heights of 2. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 inches from one unit. Seeking manufacturers and distributors. Contact Tony Nassef at (850) 479-4670.

# Trowel

Marshalltown has added a series of six notched trowels with high quality blue spring steel blades to an already extensive line of hand tools from QLT by Marshalltown. The blue steel blades compliment a deep selection of notched trowels with carbon steel blades, and give the installer a choice. Five of the trowels have a 16" x 4" blade, which allows the installer to spread more mastic quicker than with a smaller blade. The blade has a 10 cut back form to more easily get to comers and under cabinet fronts. Each has an aluminum alloy mounting that is strong, yet lightweight and corrosion resistant. The new notched trowels come 12 per box and 36 per case. Besides a larger blade and a good selection of notch patterns, the trowels are priced very competitively. For information contact Steve Lyons at Marshalltown Trowel Company (515) 753-0127.
