The judges felt strongly that this project contained a highly creative use of masonry on an interior application. The project was fun, a high level of detail resulting in a project that had to be a masons dream and test of skill. It showcases masonry in an application that architects don't use every day. A great solution for a difficult acoustical problem. A strong creative use of a hard surfaced building material for a soft acoustical application.
