masonry skills. Architects were actually able to dig in and work on a real job site and were given the opportunity to contribute to the community while learning about the trade they design for. Architects took with them a new appreciation for the craft of masonry in addition to a little mortar on their feet.

Sending an architect to the symposium can be very rewarding and can help build a close working relationship with local architects. "I thought the program was excellent, well planned and coordinated," said Michael Halstead, an attendee from Indianapolis, IN.
