The spotlight will be on the top masons from around the country as the Fastest Trowel Competition takes place in Phoenix. There are no second chances in this single-heat competition. Many returning champions and experienced mason artists will compete to lay the most block with the most accuracy with just a tiny bit of time. With large cash prizes at stake, if you have not seen this competition, you have not experienced the roar of the cheering crowd!

Phoenix Civic Plaza
Come watch as regional winners from apprentice competitions around the United States and Canada compete to be named international champion. Each competitor will be given three hours to complete a specified project in their skill level: first year, second year or third year. The projects will then be judged on ten criteria including plumb, level, square & range and measurements. Awards, including a $1,000 cash prize for first place in each level, will be presented in the competition area at 3:15 PM.
MCAA Continues to Build with
Habitat for Humanity
Friday, February 8
The MCAA has once again teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to build a masonry home. The MCAA will build a home in 1 day with a labor force of masonry apprentices, architects and engineers from around the United States and Canada.
