MCAA TO SEEK GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS DIRECTOR

The Board of Directors of the Mason Contractors Association of America voted to present a dues increase to the membership at the Association's Annual Meeting next February in Phoenix for the purpose of hiring a full-time Director of Government Affairs. The position responsibilities will include lobbying members of Congress on issues affecting mason contractors, working with government agencies for favorable regulations for masonry, and assisting in electing a pro-small business and pro-masonry Congress and President. "With devastating issues looming on the horizon, such as ergonomic regulations, our Association and industry must be deeply involved in the fight for reasonable regulations. Our Association must have full-time representation to promote our interests in Washington," said MCAA President, Richard Johnston.

HOGGATT, INC. CELEBRATES ITS 50th ANNIVERSARY

HOUSTON, TX. October 12, 2001- Paul D. Hoggatt and John H. Hoggatt are pleased to announce that Hoggatt, Inc. is proudly celebrating their 50th year in business.

Originally founded in 1951 by Phineas Hoggatt, the company is successful by providing its customers with quality masonry work. Incorporated in 1972, and now under the direction of Paul and John, the company has evolved from a commercial masonry contractor to a niche masonry contractor specializing in masonry fences. "Hoggatt, Inc. is one of the Houston's largest masonry fence companies and prides itself in giving the highest quality available. I see Hoggatt, Inc. continuing its steady growth expanding it's product line in the coming years. We are always searching for new, quality masonry fencing for our customers. I hope that Hoggatt, Inc. continues to be whom people call when they want a quality masonry project," says Paul Hoggatt.

Included in Hoggatt, Inc.'s portfolio are such notable projects as the brick work at Sesquicentennial Park in downtown Houston, the beautiful granite entry at Houston Baptist University, and masonry work on the Texas A&M Bio-

science building in Houston, TX. Included among Hoggatt, Inc.'s vast number of fences constructed are fifteen miles of thinwall fence (a brick fence that is only one brick wide and does not rest on a grade beam) at the master planned community of Cinco Ranch, in Katy, TX. "Now and in the future, I see Hoggatt, Inc. assisting developers, architects, owners and their agents in planning, engineering, and constructing quality masonry fencing and structures that will last a lifetime. I am proud of where Hoggatt, Inc. has come from, and I take pride in leading Hoggatt, Inc. to where it is going," says John Hoggatt.
