MCAA TO SEEK GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS DIRECTOR
The Board of Directors of the Mason Contractors Association of America voted to present a dues increase to the membership at the Association's Annual Meeting next February in Phoenix for the purpose of hiring a full-time Director of Government Affairs. The position responsibilities will include lobbying members of Congress on issues affecting mason contractors, working with government agencies for favorable regulations for masonry, and assisting in electing a pro-small business and pro-masonry Congress and President. "With devastating issues looming on the horizon, such as ergonomic regulations, our Association and industry must be deeply involved in the fight for reasonable regulations. Our Association must have full-time representation to promote our interests in Washington," said MCAA President, Richard Johnston.
