BIA Installs New Officers
The Brick Industry Association (BIA) has named its new officers for the next two-years.
Robert Belden, president, The Belden Brick Co., Canton, Ohio, is the new chairman; Steven G. Matsick, president, Glen-Gery Corp., Wyomissing, Pa, is vice chairman; Bill Chapman, president, Clay-Ingels Co., Lexington, Ky., is secretary; and Jim Russell, secretary-treasurer and vice president, Cement Products & Supply Co., Inc., Lakeland, Fla. is treasurer.

McAdams named president of NCMCA
James "Red" McAdams of McAdams Masonry, Elon, NC, was recently named president of the North Carolina Masonry Contractors Association (NCMCA). Exiting president Hugh Townsend of Hugh Townsend Masonry, Granite Falls, NC, officiated at the passing of the gavel. McAdams, a native of Burlington, NC, started McAdams Masonry in 1967. The company currently as a crew of eight and BIA Chairman Bob Belden represents the fourth generation to manage The Belden Brick Co., founded in 1885. A Canton native and former backup quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, Bob Belden earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame in 1969 and an MBA in operations research/management science from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business in 1971.
