"TEAR DOWN YOUR WALL!"
Letting a non-qualified laboratory or untrained lab technician perform your masonry samples test can result in your wall being torn down and rebuilt at your expense. Do you know how to protect your company?
MCAA'S Masonry Testing Seminar
Why A Testing Seminar
Mike Williams of Williams Masonry came to work on Monday morning feeling good that the local school project that they were working on was coming to a completion. His week was about to turn into a masonry contractor's nightmare when he got the call that the school board ordered the walls to be torn down and re-built because the field sample was failed by the testing lab. This was a true story, only the names were changed. What was suppose to be a routine sample test turned ugly when the laboratory, not qualified to test masonry, rejected the test because they tested it wrong.
Sounds like it can't happen, unfortunately it happens all too often. Do you know what happens to your field sample once you take one? Do you know if the testing lab is qualified or if the lab technician is competent to do your test? Does your general contractor or owner know the difference between a proper test and one that could cause your walls to be torn down? Do you know how to protect your company when you are required to conduct a field test? Or do you just send your sample off and hope for the best?
This daylong seminar is designed for you, your key field supervisors, foreman, your architect and your general contractors who all need to know the proper procedures for testing masonry materials and ANSI approved test methods.
Who Should Attend? Contractors, Foremen, Architects, Engineers, Technicians, General Contractors, Material Suppliers.
