MASONRY & CERAMIC TILE INSTITUTE OF OREGON'S HAMMURABI AWARDS
The 2005 Hammurabi Awards, sponsored by the Masonry & Ceramic Tile Institute of Oregon, recognized nine outstanding masonry and tile projects at an awards luncheon held Jan. 19, 2006, in Portland.
Held every two years, the Hammurabi Awards are named in honor of King Hammurabi and his code of laws some of the first guidelines governing the construction of dwellings recorded in history.
The purpose of the awards program is to recognize excellence in masonry and ceramic tile design and craftsmanship. The awards program honors works of distinction and brings public attention to projects designed by architects in Oregon and southwest Washington.
