Brick SouthEast, Inc.
The 2006 Brick SouthEast (BSE) Manpower Forum was held on Oct. 14, 2006, at the San Destin Hilton in San Destin, Fla.

Twenty-eight, first-, second- and third-year apprentices from the nine state BSE region labored for, not only, southern bragging rights, but also for the opportunity to compete in the International Masonry Skills Challenge, sponsored by the Mason Contractors Association of America.

The contest was a 3-1/2 hour event, not including the written test that was given the day before. Local suppliers donated the materials, and a jury of selected masonry instructors, masons and architects from across the region completed the judging.

Next year's BSE Manpower Forum will be held at the San Destin Hilton from Oct. 12-13, 2007.
