John Deere Power Systems is a leading producer of off-highway diesel engines, supplying heavy-duty industrial engines and drive train components for John Deere products and a host of Herculean construction, landscape and ag equipment. One of John Deere's four main manufacturing divisions, Power Systems engineers and produces a variety of OEM parts, including diesel engines, natural gas engines, axles, transmissions, pump drives and planetary drives. John Deere first entered the engine business in 1918 when it purchased Waterloo Gasoline Engine Co. In 1949, Deere produced its first diesel engine.
Innovative compact engine lineup
CURRENTLY, the Tier 3 PowerTech M 2.4L and 4.5L engines from John Deere are the latest of its compact power plants. These are mechanically controlled, naturally aspirated, turbocharged, air-to-air intercooled engines. These engines will ship to OEMs for their Tier 3 machines. The PowerTech M 2.41.
