2008 MCAA CONVENTION

WELCOSO
LAS VEGAS
REVAR

I would like to take this opportunity to invite each and every member of the MCAA to come and check out what is new at your association at World of Masonry.

As you will see from the program, we have changed the schedule for this convention and plan to introduce more interactive meetings and events. We encourage you to come and attend the committee meetings and annual meeting. All of the meetings will be more interactive and you will see your association build and grow around the productivity of these meetings. The committee meeting times have been scheduled to allow more members to attend as many different committee meetings as they would like. The annual meeting will include a discussion of the new certification program the MCAA recently launched. Our panel of certification committee members will be introducing the program and answering questions. They will also present plans and date for the first certification test.

Some of the highlights of this year's convention include our Opening Session Lunch which will feature Henry Winkler. You all may remember him from his days as "The Fonz" on "Happy Days". This year will also feature our very first Mason Contractor Appreciation night which will take place on Wednesday evening. There will be drinks, food and plenty of door prizes, which will include cash, casino chips and equipment giveaways, to name a few. For the first time ever, we will also have all the major national competitions in the Masonry Industry in the same location. Wednesday will feature the Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 and Thursday will feature the MCAA's Masonry Skills Challenge and the Fastest Trowel competition. All three contests will be broadcast on the Jumbotron.

If you have not made your plans yet, I encourage you to come join us and check out what is new at this year's MCAA Convention at World of Masonry. We also hope you will join us at the Mason Contractor headquarter hotel at Caesars Palace where our closing Banquet and installation of officers will take place. See you in Vegas!
