# Smith Named District Manager
Mathew Smith of Denver has been named district manager at Stone Construction Equipment Inc. Smith has more than seven years of experience in the construction equipment industry, most recently with Volvo Rents. His new responsibilities include serving the needs of equipment dealers and rental houses in the states of Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and parts of Texas.
# Miller Ground Breaking Names Larson as President
Jeff Larson has been named president of Savannah, Ga.-based Miller Ground Breaking Inc. Larson comes to Miller with 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and product support in the off-road equipment industry and, most recently, as the director of Carraro North America. His prior experience includes various senior management roles in heavy- and light-construction equipment, hydraulic cranes, site preparation, forestry and the material handling industry. Larson will be responsible for overseeing all of Miller's North American and South American operational, sales and marketing activities.
# Berich Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
The Rocky Mountain Masonry Institute (RMMI) honored Dan Berich, founder of Berich Masonry Inc., with a Lifetime Achievement Award during the McGraw-Hill Gold Hardhat Awards. Berich is only the second person to ever receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from RMMI. He began his masonry career during World War II. Berich also helped form the Colorado Masonry Contractors Association, which became the RMMI in 1988. IMAS
