JLG Awarded $40 Million Marine Corps Contract
JLG Industries, Inc. has been awarded a $40 million contract to build 280 extendable boom forklifts (EBFL) for the U.S. Marine Corps. Also known as Millennia Military Vehicles (MMVs), EBFLs reach into trucks or shipping containers, lift loads over obstacles and pick up loads from both above and below grade. Capable of moving all palletized material classes up to its rated capacity, the four-wheel drive, rubber-tired forklift is medium-lift capable, with an optimum lifting range of 4,000 to 11,000 pounds. In addition, the EBFL provides three steering modes: two-wheel, four-wheel and crab steering. The EBFLs will be built at the JLG facility in McConnellsburg, Pa., with an anticipated completion date of August 2012.

Bidwell; and his great granddaughter, Celia Jean Zimbabwe.
PROSOCO Hires Sales Managers
Dane Olson and Gary Dave Pennington have joined PROSOCO as sales managers for the company's West Coast and South Central sales regions. Before joining PROSOCO, Olson served as a sales representative and eastern expansion manager for Pacific Polymers in Garden Grove, Calif., a manufacturer of waterproofing and damp-proofing products. Pennington served 18 years as a sales representative and branch manager for SSI (Silicone Specialties Inc.) in Houston. PROSOCO's West Coast region includes Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, West Texas and Hawaii. The South Central region includes New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas - north and west of Austin and San Antonio, and Louisiana.
GBCI Celebrates 10,000 LEED Green Associates
The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) has awarded the LEED Green Associate credential to more than 10,000 individuals.
The credential, which was introduced to the market just last year, has secured its status as the preeminent designation for professionals who support the green building industry. The LEED Green Associate exam tests for fundamental understanding of sustainable building
