Ben Warfield

I started in masonry with my father doing brick veneers, fireplaces and light commercial projects in middle school for $20.00 per day. As I aged into high school I began to lay brick and stone. After highschool I sought out several other career paths until I was 21. In 2000 there was a large earthquake that damaged masonry everywhere in the greater Seattle area. My father called me and gave me a contractor's number that was looking for labor, so I quit my warehouse job to get back into masonry. Quickly I was running repair crews and making a name for myself. After a couple years of learning I joined the local bricklayers union and worked as an 80 percent apprentice, but the market was a bit slow so I went non union to complete my apprenticeship with a commercial contractor. In 2007 I started Warfield Masonry as a sole owner/operator. After 10 years and growing the company into the commercial marketplace I unionize it to build to the next level. Now we operate as a premier masonry contractor on some of the highest profile projects in our region. All the time by my side my wife Amanda and I also built a family of 5 while growing this business simultaneously. I enjoy coaching middle school football with my boys and working out with my daughter.
