EDCO receives Workplace Wellness Certification

Words: Jason AderholtThe first annual Healthy Workplace Certification Awards was held to recognize Frederick County business committed to improving employee health and well-being. EDCO and 20 other regional workplaces were honored.

EDCO received the award based on its ongoing Wellness Program that has included fitness challenges, seminars, and its annual Wellness Fair. Award points are given in the following categories: Health Education, Supportive Social and Physical Environments, Integration of Worksite Wellness Program into Organizational Structure, Linkage with Related Programs and Screening Programs

The Healthy Workplace Certification Awards is a partnership between Frederick Regional Health System, Frederick County Health Department, and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.
