Multiquip introduces natural gas fueled generators

Words: Jon AlbersonMultiquip, a diverse manufacturer and supplier of world class quality products and solutions, is proud to introduce the first in a new line of MQ Power natural gas generators.

“Multiquip is excited to introduce the first in a line of natural gas generators (NGA) at PowerGen 2014,” said Bob Graydon, Senior Vice President for Multiquip. The NGA150 will be available for sale in Q2 2015 followed immediately by a 200kw version.

The new natural gas generators operate on either LP gas or pipeline gas, and include an onboard filtration system to allow for easy use of well-head gas at drilling sites. The digital microprocessor has integrated genset-to-genset paralleling.

“Multiquip’s MQ Power Natural Gas Generators are engineered and built to be rugged and to hold up under the extreme conditions often found in the rental market,” said Graydon. “This new line of products incorporates the quality and reliability for which MQ Power generators are famous, now with a natural gas powered option.”

Multiquip will also be exhibiting two new MQ Power® WhisperWatt Super-Silent Generators; the new DCA150 powered by a John Deere Tier 4 Final diesel engine and the new DCA400 with a Tier 4 Final Isuzu diesel engine. In addition, Multiquip will be displaying the new on board load management system, MQ PowerBalance™. This new system is fast becoming a popular option in rental where variable loads can cause emission component clogging in Tier4 level diesel engines.
