Bruce Edward Sieling
The masonry industry lost a third generation mason suddenly Saturday June 16, 2012 - Bruce Edward Sieling, son of Eric Sieling of EGS Masonry. Bruce suffered a massive heart attack after just turning 57 on May 6th. He is survived by a son Sean age 27 who lives in Frederick, MD.

Bruce went to work with his Dad, at the age of 14, then entered the union apprenticeship program after High School and continued his career with his Dad in various capacities. After his father’s death, he bought the business out from the other members of his family. He like many in our industry struggled to remain viable in the market place, but unfortunately ended a few years ago by his dissolving the business.

He had become very involved in riding horses in the Hunt and belonged to the Goshen Hunt Club. Many of us who knew Bruce quite well knew he could be pompous and arrogant with the best of us, but as someone who remained his friend for over 30 years, after a very short marriage, you could not have asked for a friend with a bigger heart. Perhaps that is why is wore out too soon. RIP Bruce.
