Milwaukee upgrades M12 Drilling and Fastening products

Featuring increased performance and improved ergonomics, Milwaukee will introduce six new drilling and fastening models this year, four of which will begin a transition to replace existing models on the market today.

“Since the introduction of the M12™ Cordless system in 2007, Milwaukee has delivered a full line of best-in-class drilling and fastening products that have helped establish M12™ as the #1 sub -compact system in the industry,” said Tom Simeone, Group Product Manager, Milwaukee Tool. “At Milwaukee, the phrase “good enough” doesn’t exist in our vocabulary…we will maintain leadership within this category by both continually looking for ways to improve on existing products and launching new-to-world solutions that increase productivity.”

The M12™ Drilling and Fastening Product Upgrade will set a new standard for performance and portability. For example, the 2462 M12™ ¼” Hex Impact Driver will feature a new Milwaukee® optimized mechanism which delivers 1,000 in-lbs of torque and increases driving speed by up to 50%, making it faster, more powerful and longer running than any of its competitors.

The new tools will also feature upgraded ergonomics with narrow, soft contoured grips for maximum comfort during prolonged use, and an all metal reversible belt clip to quickly and easily hang the tool.
Additionally, Milwaukee will continue to deliver the most durable products within this category. Milwaukee will maintain its place in the market as the only major power tool manufacturer to feature all metal chucks on their 12V drill/drivers and hammer drill /drivers. The tools will also continue to feature the best electronics in the industry, REDLINK™ INTELLIGENCE, for increase protection in abusive situations. All tools will be backed by a 5-year warranty.

The new tools are compatible with the entire M12™ System, now offering over 50 cordless Lithium-Ion products. The M12™ platform is the largest sub-compact system in the industry, offering innovative solutions in power, productivity and portability.
