Sentara Leigh Hospital

Words: Chad CorleySentara Leigh Hospital, a 250-bed facility specializing in orthopedic, gynecological and
urological services, is part of the Sentara Healthcare organization serving Virginia and
northeastern North Carolina through more than 100 sites. To accommodate a growing
number of patients, Sentara Leigh Hospital expanded its campus with the addition of

three pre-blended custom colors to lay block and brick that matched the appearance of the
existing hospital buildings. In addition, multiple bulk mortar silo systems were used to increase productivity and reduced labor costs on the project.

QUIKRETE® Mason Mix Type S Mortar is a high strength commercial grade, pre-blended mixture
of sand and cements specially selected for masonry applications. It meets N, S, M requirements as
specified in ASTM C270 and pigments may be added to match any existing or new construction.

QUIKRETE® Core-Fill Grout is a properly proportioned mixture of Portland cement, graded sand,
and other ingredients designed to provide a flowable grout requiring only the addition of water. It’s
