Edwin Shields Hewitt is founder and managing partner of Hewitt Associates, Libertyville, Illinois, independent consulting actuaries, analysts, and advisors on pensions, profit sharing, and employee benefits. Before founding their company in 1940, Mr. Hewitt was active in educational and agency management activities in the field of life insurance. He is a native of Des Moines, Iowa, attended the University of Arizona, and was graduated from Grinnell College in Iowa, of which he is Chairman of the board of trustees. He is also President of the board of trustees of Lake Forest Academy, aad a member and past president of the Lake County Board of School Trustees. He has authored articles on executive compensation, employee communication, retirement, and employee benefits, and lectured before various groups.
Kenneth K. Keene is an Associate Actuary of Aetna Life Insurance Company, a national insurance corporation with home offices in Hartford, Connecticut. He completed undergraduate work at the University of Florida and has a master's degree from the University of Michigan. He is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries and currently serves on its Education and Examination Committee. Mr. Keene has been specializing in the group pension field. He is now devoting an important part of his time to the design and operation of multiple-employer pension plans. His company administers group pension plans covering more than 600,000 employees and involving pension investments of almost two billion dollars.
Joseph Holme is President of the Associated Brick Mason Contractors of Greater New York, Inc. Mr. Holme participated in the labor relations panel held last year in Pittsburgh and is extremely well versed in all phases of management's role in pension planning.
Paul Rosensteel is the Administrator of the Arizona Health and Welfare Trust and the Arizona Pension Trust and is well experienced in this field. This panel, with each important phase represented, should be one of the highlights of the entire convention.
