Les Osborne, President of the Denver Mason Contractors Association, announces a change in his Chapters name. The group will now be called the Colorado Mason Contractors Association and will encompass the entire state. Writing from Bermuda where he is leading a Wahoo Fishing Contest sponsored by the New York Athletic Club is Past President Stephen D. Raimo. His catch is a 56 pounder which should take the honors. Have you made your reservations for the Cleveland Convention? New member of the Colorado Chapter is Paul N. Thompson of Colorado Springs.
Harry Bennett, well-known Chicagoland Masonry Industry representative, recently celebrated his birthday. Haven't the slightest idea which year, but Happy Birthday Harry, and many, many more. Sons of members seem to be in the midst of it these days Glenn Dietrich, son of President Les Dietrich, St. Louis, suffered injuries during a recent football game. After hospitalization, Glenn is making a fast recovery. Treasurer Frank Laureys' son, Frank, Jr., was on his way back to college aboard a Burlington train when it collided with another train south Aurora, III. Shook up but in good condition, Frank, Jr., continued on to school... Chet Sazenski has been named representative of the Minneapolis Chapter for that area's Bricklayers Pension Fund.
Harold H. Emch, Sr. and Robert J. Weber, Milwaukee Western Bank were speakers at the Oct. 9th meeting of the Milwaukee Chapter. Topic was "Construction Financing".... "Cleaning Clay Masonry Walls" was the subject of a seminar held on Oct. 7th, Holiday Inn, Aurora, III., by SCPI. Attending Colorado Chapter's Management school in Denver during October was MCAA's Education Committee Chairman Robert Harrison, Mt. Prospect, III.
New members of the Concrete & Masonry Contractors Association of Minneapolis, Minn. are Bert T. Hanson Constr. Co. and Marshall Block Co.. Edward A Munson of Minneapolis is at a new address. It is 2318-1st St. N.E. and Quality Brick & Stone, Inc. is now at 3203 North Highway (continued on page 20)
