Pittsburgh Corning Corporation has announced the appointment of John Heringa as Glass Block Sales representative in the Chicago area. Mr. Heringa has had extensive ex- perience in the construction bus- iness. He will be located at the PC office in the Pro- fessional Build- ing. Oakbrook, III. A. L. Jackson Co. has moved its offices to 3423 North Drake Ave., Chicago, III. Fred J. Robbins, President of Bliss & Laughlin Industries, reported an in- crease in Revenues and earnings of 24 and 38 percent respectively for nine months ending Sept. 30th. Featured speaker at Regional Meeting of NCMA held in Lincoln, Nebr., was Pete Muth, President. Mr. Muth pre- sented the program entitled "NCMA Looks Ahead."
The Unit Masonry Association of Cincinnati held its fall Informational Meeting on November 2nd and the main topic of discussion was "The Contemporary Brick Bearing Wall" presented by James Platt, Regional Director of SCPI. Robert L. Moore has been promoted to the position of assistant director of Loss Prevention Dept. of Kemper Insur- ance Group. The Mason Con- tractors Association of Utah held its annual Dinner Dance on Nov. 19th at the Hotel Utah. You can tell ability from luck by its duration.
