Williams Products, Inc., manufacturer of various architectural products, has announced development and immediate availability of a new corner protector formed of durable rubber and called "CornerGaurd."
CornerGuard has been designed by Williams for institutional and commercial use to protect block wall, glaze brick and other wall materials from scrapes and wear of heavy corner traffic. This new product maintains corners where appearance and sanitation are important, but its low cost makes it practical for corner protection in less critical and lower traffic areas as well. The cost of Corner- Guard is substantially less than that of other standard corner protectors.
CornerGuards are available in standard cream, beige and grey colors, but they can also be supplied in a wide range of decorator's colors on special request. Installation of Corner Guard can be performed by regular maintenance personnel. Application of a specialty developed adhesive and mounting CornerGuard in permanent position is said to take approximately 20 minutes.
Williams is offering a color brochure which gives details of their new CornerGuard product from material specifications to easy-ordering information. This brochure is available from Williams Products, Inc. free of charge.
# Adjustable Scaffolding
The problem of scaffolding curved walls is easily solved by using Morgan Adjustable Scaffolding, according to Jim Bologna, Vice President of Leto Construction Co., Detroit.
"There isn't one straight wall in the Northland Theatre building we are erecting in Southfield, Michigan. Morgen scaffolding easily fits the contours of these unusual shaped buildings.
"Curved walls make it even more important to keep masons at the same working level so they have the same perspective on their work at all times.
"We have only enough scaffolding to cover 200 feet of wall 40 feet high on this job," Bologna points out. "Our masons stay on the same wall until it is topped out. Then we use a fork lift to quickly move completely assembled units to another wall.
"Masons work efficiently at waist level instead of reaching around their shoulders or knees, I figure Morgen has increased our masons' production by 20% -in addition to being able to handle these irregular walls."

Champion Manufacturing Company has announced the development of two new masonry blades especially suited to the sawing of extra hard, dense refractories. The reinforced abrasive blade, which is an addition to Champion's "E-Z Flex" line, is designated as blade DC-250 1 AC, According to Mr. Fleishman, this blade maintains good cutting speed while getting acceptable blade life on these difficult to cut materials such as KX-99 and Varnon BF.
